About me
User Experience Designer
Born in 1987, I live in Ghent and have been building my career at Ghent University since 2009. I started as a Java developer on the student administration system OASIS, spent several years as caretaker of the Het Pand conference centre, and grew through the M365 team — where I worked with Azure, .NET and C# — into my current role as UX/UI designer and frontend developer. That varied experience gives me a broad perspective: from technical architecture to user experience, with Figma as the bridge between the two.

IT Specialist M365
Developer on the M365 team responsible for developing internal software using the Microsoft stack, including Azure, DevOps, .NET, C#, SPFx and TypeScript.

Caretaker
As caretaker of the Het Pand conference centre, I was responsible for opening and closing the venue, including during weekends and public holidays. I was also the first point of contact for issues outside working hours.

IT Specialist Java
The OASIS team builds software for education administration and the management of student data. Within this team, I was responsible for developing, testing and designing the web application, extending the services, communication with external systems such as SAP and the Flemish government (DHO), extracting data from OASIS via JasperReports, generating diplomas and certificates, software installations, second-line user support, and standby duty during critical periods.

Junior Consultant
Generix Group is an international player in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), a standard for the electronic transmission of orders, invoices, etc. My role within the company was implementing the conversion of an EDI message into a readable message for the customer’s software package.

Software Advies was a consultancy based in Antwerp. Through them, I worked at Zetes in Brussels, in the Goods ID department, where I was responsible for the software for Windows Mobile/CE devices.
